Education, it is well-said, is a long-term investment-an investment that accrue prodigious payoffs and rich dividends. With the implementation of the continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE), this 85-year-old institution too has come under the powerful sway of the winds of change sweeping across the schools in the country. While living up to the time-honoured tradition, the school has boldly made forays into a new era of pedagogical thinking that aims at a stress free, enjoyable, productive and healthy learning experience for the cadets. In our quintessential search for excellence, we have striven to push the academic benchmark a few notches up. The excellent Board results of X and XII and the NDA results validate our point. The enhancement of English language skills and IT skills, and the familiarization of teachers with innovative teaching methodologies in the class-rooms aiming at powerful learning outcomes are the two key areas we lay more emphasis on.

But then education is not all about academics. The stress on holistic development rather than just on academics, a continuous programme to foster faculty competence, adoption of cutting-edge technology, high academic achievement including success in inter-school competitions, the extensive co-curricular programme, the diverse sports programme operating at regional and even national levels, large number of exciting development projects - even the refurbishment and renovations that have been carried out extensively - are aimed at developing a caring, nurturing environment that gives a solid foundation to the cadets’ formative years that allow the cadets’ natural gifts to unfold to their full potential.

Education, it is said, is the ability to meet life’s situations. It is this institution’s cherished aim to impart education that helps the cadets to grow into well-mannered, well-groomed, independent individuals with high self-esteem and enables them to emerge as men with character and vision, as leaders with a harmonious mélange of head and heart, and as officers who can succeed against all odds. The impetus of the able guidance the invaluable help and support of the higher authorities and the school Alumni have always stood us in good stead.

Ours are the times marked by exponential change. In this transition, technology, as always, is the catalyst. The school is committed to adopt innovative methods and techniques to improve upon the standards, keeping abreast of the times, converting the minds of the cadets into a living fountains, and not a reservoir. After all we have taken upon ourselves the daunting but exciting task of preparing the cadets to face the globalized challenges of a world that is increasingly becoming multi-dimensional.
